MOSQUITO CONTROL SPRAYING WEEKLY IN COLTON

mosquitoThe City of Colton has begun a weekly schedule of spraying for mosquitoes.  The plan is to spray during the evening hours the beginning of each week through the end of the summer, weather permitting.  With the continued wet conditions, mosquito production is extremely high in the region.  Some simple rules to follow for prevention of mosquito bites are avoid being outdoors during high risk time periods of dusk and dawn, wear protective clothing when outdoors, use products containing DEET to prevent mosquito bites, and drain containers such as wading pools, wheelbarrows, empty plant containers, garbage cans, birdbaths, rain gutters and other areas where water collects undisturbed.

RENEWABLE ENERGY - Wind & Solar Power for Colton Residential

Colton's ordinance related to residential wind and solar energy micro-systems offers Colton residents the opportunity and guidelines necessary to take advantage of wind and solar energy micro-system technology currently available for homes and small businesses.  These residential micro-systems are small in size, yet powerful.  They also do not require any costly upgrades to current residential electrical service to the home.  Increased energy production costs and governmental regulation promise to drive energy costs significantly higher in the near future.  Colton residents are currently able to not only offset the coming energy price increases, but greatly reduce even current energy costs by installing residential wind & solar micro-systems.  For more information, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
