NOTICE: Discharging Sump Pumps in Colton
The City of Colton Sewer Department is requesting that sump pumps no longer be discharged into the Sanitary Sewer System (through the floor, laundry or toilet drains) to prevent overtaxing the system. Please pump all discharge out of the house to the yard or curb as the sewer system is regularly at maximum capacity due to the high number of sump pumps discharding into it. Continuing to discharge into the system will leave the city no alternative but to implement house inspections and levy fines. Call Colton City Hall at (605) 446-3811 with questions. Thank you.
