The 2010 Colton Jubilee Days weekend celebration is scheduled for July 23-25, 2010. This years city and community sponsored event will again include a dance, country music festival, parade, softball tournament, activities for the whole family, fireworks and much more. For a weekend of family, friends, good food and great entertainment, mark your calendar for the 4th weekend July 2010 for Colton Jubilee Days! The City of Colton Sewer Department is requesting that sump pumps no longer be discharged into the Sanitary Sewer System (through the floor, laundry or toilet drains) to prevent overtaxing the system and incurring additional costs. Please pump all discharge out of the house to the yard or curb. Continuing to discharge into the sanitary sewer system could lead to city inspections and subsequent fines. On November 10, 2009, Colton's new ordinance related to residential wind and solar energy micro-systems will go into effect! For the first time, Colton residents will have both the opportunity and guidelines necessary to take advantage of the powerful wind and solar energy micro-system technology now available nationally. Increased energy production costs and governmental regulation threaten to drive energy costs significantly higher in the near future. Colton residents now have the opportunity to not only offset these increases, but to drasically reduce their current energy costs with their own energy producing residential micro-systems.
